Carpentry is more than a family tradition for Norbert Sicard.  His father passed down to him not only a feeling for wood and its grain, and a knowledge of all its qualities, but a love and appreciation of work well done, work that will stand the test of time and centuries of use by succeeding generations.	Norbert Sicard (photograph by Alison Harris) Norbert's workshop is located in Picardy in northern France, but his work takes him all other the world.   He is conveniently close to the main Paris airport, Charles de Gaulle, and to the main French trans-European network of motorways.  So distance is no obstacle to good craftsmanship!
